TCHAD
Un atelier d’élaboraon du plan de réponse au Tchad s’est tenu les 25 et 26 Avril.
Le plan d’acon intègre les aspects transfrontaliers et la vaccinaon orale cholera.

GHANA
Une formaon d’une trentaine de parcipants à la stratégie du bouclier et du coup de poing en zone urbaine avec l’ulisaon des GPS s’est tenue à Accra le 25 Avril 2014.

Tchad (Français)

Le 24 août 2014, une femme de 37 ans a été conduite d’urgence dans le centre de santé de Bipare dans le district de Léré suite à des diarrhées et vomissements. Ses enfants ont été admis par la suite avec les mêmes symptômes. Les tests rapides cholera sur 13 parents se sont révélés positifs. Le 01 septembre 2014, le laboratoire de référence nationale a isolé le choléra dans 10 échantillons.

The outlook for May-Jul 2005 Gulf of Guinea rainfall at one month lead shows a slight tilt in the odds favoring above average rainfall locally over southern Ghana and southwestern Nigeria. There is a slight tilt in the odds favoring below normal rainfall locally over southeastern Cote d'Ivoire.

I. SIGNIFICANT EVENTS
UNOWA convened a conference on 4-5 October to develop integrated conflict prevention and peace building strategies for especially sensitive border areas in West Africa. The conference discussed among other topics the emergence of hidden tensions among host communities, internally-displaced persons, returning migrants and third country nationals living in these areas and possible responses by political and humanitarian actors.
