January 27, 2015| New Delhi/Kenya: The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) through the SPRINT Initiative, is providing crucial sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services to South Sudanese refugees in Gambella Region, Ethiopia.

According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), data dated January 8, 2016, more than 230,000 South Sudanese refuges are currently displaced in refugee camps in Gambella, Ethiopia. More than 30,000 refugees are also residing within host communities.

24 November – Uganda: Over 40,000 refugees from South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo who have fled conflict in their countries to neighbouring Uganda, are in dire need of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services. SPRINT will provide with USD 39,220 for life-saving SRH aid to refugees in Uganda.

14 Aug – Ethiopia: The SPRINT Initiative, a sexual and reproductive health programme in crisis and post crisis situations, supported by the Australian Government and led by International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) is reaching out to South Sudanese refugees in two camps (Kule, Leitchuor) of the Gambella region of Ethiopia with life-saving services for reproductive health. SPRINT aims to provide this support to 57,861 refugees in the camps with USD 77,500 for a period of 4 months starting from August to November 2014.
