NORTH DARFUR

Consultations. DDDC North Darfur facilitated a special thematic consultation in El Fasher, North Darfur, with farmers and pastoralists, two key Darfurian stakeholders, to further examine land issues and disputes and to discuss ways to reform the traditional hakoora land tenure system. Some 50 Arab nomad representatives from El Waha locality and tribal leaders from farming communities throughout North Darfur State, participated.
