Khartoum, Nov.26 (SUNA) - The 16 day-National Campaign for Combating Violence against Woman in the different Sudan’s states which is sponsored by the State Minister, at the Ministry of Social Security, Mona Faroug was launched, Sunday.
The State Minister addressing SUNA Forum has attributed the growing violence against woman to the absence of punishment and silence over the woman crisis, calling for raising the awareness and issuance of the related laws and legislations to curb the phenomenon.
Khartoum, July 28(SUNA)-The Federation of Sudanese Youth in collaboration with the Martyr Ala-Zubair Charity Foundation dispatched a support convoy to the flood-affected people in Kassala State.
Representative of the Federation, Mohamed Osman said in press statements that the convoy contains shelter materials, food stuff, pumps, medicines and other support materials.
He added that the support was handed over to the concerned committee in Kassala State.
Osman said the crisis was over and that the state is enjoying remarkable stability.
Khartoum, July.27 (SUNA) – The Islamic Dawa (call) Organization launched, Friday morning, its relief campaign to the floods affected –people in Kassala, Al-Nihud and Al-Bager.
The Director General of the organizations External Missions, Ageel Naeim Al-Fadni has outlined that his organization has delivered 6000 sacks of wheat, besides, the relief material to the affected areas.

Addis Ababa, Feb. 4 (SUNA) - The delegations of the government and Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (North Sector) and the Joint Mediator have signed agreements on ceasefire and cessation of hostilities at the two areas and completion of the negotiations between them.
In a statement they signed Sunday in Addis Ababa, the two parties affirmed their commitment to reach a durable peace and their endeavor to find the means conducive to solving issues.

Kosti, May 3 (SUNA) - Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Bahr Idriss Abu-Garda has affirmed the decrease of watery diarrhea cases in the White Nile State.
The minister who inspected, Wednesday, the disease affected-areas, accompanied by the Wali (governor) of the State and a number of federal and state's senior health official, told SUNA that the situation is under full control via interventions for chlorination of water, revealing that two cases were detected in Um-Jar and twenty other infections at Al-Konoze area.
Khartoum, Aug.7(SUNA)-Federal Health Minister, Bahar Iddris Abu Garda discussed with delegation of experts and consultants of the World Health Organization(WHO) and in presence of WHO Representative in Sudan, Dr Naema Al-Qaseer the ongoing arrangements for declared Sudan free of Guinea Worm Disease(GWD).
The WHO delegation commended Sudan efforts on eradication of GWD and called other countries to make use of Sudan's experience in this connection.

Fashir, North Darfur, 12 July (SUNA) - The state's higher committee to follow up registration of children in the age group 6-13 for schools, headed by Munira Abdul Rahman the Director General of the Ministry of General Education and Instruction, reviewed the process and the activities of the committee in the campaign.
The meeting has reviewed the best means to propagate and encourage people for registering children in that age group in the school in the various localities of the state.
