report ZOA

2.3 million people from Darfur are currently dependent on aid. These are notably families that have fled within Darfur. The families that have stayed are also finding life difficult: they have to share their food, land and provisions with the refugees. ZOA began its emergency relief campaign in Darfur in 2004. By placing water pumps ZOA has been able to provide clean drinking water for 15,000 families. Some 37,000 families have received information on disease prevention, among other for hepatitis E; and 200,000 bars of soap and mosquito nets have been distributed.
