In the aftermath of the September 2013 earthquake in the town of Awaran, in Pakistan’s Baluchistan province, Iranian Red Crescent made its humanitarian donation for Pakistani survivors of twin earthquakes who need help in disaster-hit southwestern region of the country.
Considering the humanitarian mandates and alleviating the suffering of earthquake stricken people of Pakistan, the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) immediately swung into action and shipped a relief consignment across Mir Javeh boarder for the benefit of affected people of Blouchistan province, Pakistan on 02 November 2008.
The relief consignment weighing 71,500 T included 1,000 Pcs. of relief tents, 5,000 Pcs. of blankets, 30,000 packs of detergent / washing powder and 10,000 tins of canned tuna fish.
20,000 units of relief tents is part of the assistance rendered recently by the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan Red Crescent Society to be distributed among the people affected by the heavy rains after cyclone Yemyin which hit the provinces of Baluchistan and Sindh in the southwest of Pakistan.
Following heavy flood occurred in neighboring country of Pakistan, the Iranian Red Crescent Society in line with humanitarian mandates dispatched 20,000 units of relief tents to Pakistan Red Crescent Society.
As per Public Relations of the IRCS, relief tents will be delivered to Pakistan Red Crescent Society through adjacent province of Sistan Baluchistan.
In line with its humanitarian mandates and in order to respond to severe flood which has recently occurred in neighboring countries, Pakistan and Afghanistan, the Iranian Red Crescent Society is doing its utmost to provide assistance to the aforesaid countries by sending out relief/food items to be distributed among flood stricken people as follows:
Shipment of relief consignment to Pakistan:
- 300 PCS of relief tents
- 5,000 KGS of plastic sheets
- 2,500 PCS of moquettes
- 90,000 tins of canned tuna fish
- 20,000 tins of canned beans
- 2,500 PCS of blankets …

As the recent strong earthquake in Pakistan still claims more lives of a majority of people and left a large number of people nomad, in response to affected victims of this catastrophic disaster, the Iranian Red Crescent Society dispatched the third consignment of her relief items weighing 66,500 KG in follow up of her society's humanitarian endeavors.

In response to recent major earthquake occurred in Pakistan, the Iranian Red Crescent Society is to dispatch an Emergency Medical Response Team as well as 15 Relief Workers, three Search and Rescue dog teams, and 5 medical doctors to the earthquake affected areas.
Acknowledging the safe receipt of a humanitarian consignment of 50 ton of relief goods provided by the Iranian Red Crescent as the support for the victims of the flood in Pakistan, the chairman of Pakistan Red Crescent Society expressed his appreciation over the action taken by the Iranian Red Crescent Society for helping victims of the recent flood.
