Tshwane - The Pakistan Government has requested assistance from the South African Government following the recent earthquake that struck Pakistan, India and Afghanistan and left thousands dead, maimed and wounded.

In a communique addressed to Minister Dlamini Zuma, the Pakistani authorities requested assistance in terms of blankets, tinned foods, medicines, tents and shelter including medical personnel.
