607,000 newly arrived Rohingya in Cox's Bazar are in need of WASH assistance, which is impeded by physical access at new sites, overburdened existing facilities and the extremely limited safe water and sanitation facilities at reception areas close to the border.

There is a gap in response targeting for some 636,000 people. Protection is another major concern with 597,000 people requiring assistance including psycho-social support, child protection, and family tracing and reunification.
