ISLAMABAD, 12 December (IRIN) - Just over 10,000 Afghan refugees sheltered in a remote refugee camp in the Khyber Agency, about 70 km from Peshawar, the capital of the North West Frontier Province (NWFP), are to be offered a choice between repatriation and or relocation to another camp in Pakistan by March, according to an official of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) official.

Brussels, 24 November 2003 - The European Commission has recently pledged to provide humanitarian aid for the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (€4.5 million), Georgia (€2.2 million), Timor Leste (€2 million), China (€2 million) and Pakistan (€1 million). The funds are managed by the Humanitarian Aid Office (ECHO) under the responsibility of Commissioner Poul Nielson. Projects will be implemented by humanitarian agencies operating in the target regions.

Islamabad (dpa) - The officials from Pakistan, Afghanistan and the U.N. High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) are to meet in Dubai next month to discuss the deportation of Afghan nationals from Pakistan, a news report said on Saturday.

UNHCR's regional chief Kwame Boafo told reporters in Pakistan's southern Balochistan province on Friday that the December 3 meeting in the Gulf state would also review the U.N-sponsored three-year Aghan refugees' voluntary repatriation programme, daily 'DAWN' reported.
