Worldwide more than 65 million people are displaced from their homes — nearly double the population of Canada.

The United Nations says this number is unprecedented and the need for humanitarian assistance is only growing.

The crisis isn’t isolated to one region. People are being displaced all over the world, testing the resources and resilience of populations around the world.

Overview

The Early Warning Early Action initiative has been developed with the understanding that disaster losses and emergency response costs can be drastically reduced by using early warning analysis to act before a crisis escalates into an emergency.
Early actions strengthen the resilience of at-risk populations, mitigate the impact of disasters and help communities, governments and national and international humanitarian agencies to respond more effectively and efficiently

In 2017, you did something amazing.

By supporting UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, you delivered assistance to families who have been forced to flee war or persecution in their time of greatest need. Thanks to you, we made sure that they received shelter, essential supplies such as blankets and kitchen supplies, food, clean water, and access to vital services. Together, we also helped to protect their rights and give them a safe place to call home.
