Skopje, Vienna, 27 August 2002, After the International Helsinki Federation for Human Rights (IHF) organized three missions to Macedonia in 2001, two during the conflict period (22-27 April and 19-23 May 2001) and one after the signing of the Ohrid Framework Agreement (12-15 September 2001), the IHF team and the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights of the Republic of Macedonia (MHC) undertook a joint mission to Macedonia on May 27th and 28th, 2002.

Vienna, 23 September 2001. The International Helsinki Federation for Human Rights (IHF) insists that member States of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) observe their commitments to protect human rights and the standards of international humanitarian law in their efforts to combat terrorism, which has been announced as a "top priority" of the organization. Suspects must be brought to justice through legal means, and collective punishment must be avoided if human rights and security are to be protected.
