(EVANSTON, Ill. - 20 June 2000) A revolutionary counseling center for Croatian children traumatized by the war in the Balkans opens on Tuesday, June 20, near Zagreb, Croatia. It is the first of its kind in Eastern Europe, helping to provide psychiatric counseling services to children suffering from conditions related to post-war trauma. A three-year, $420,000 grant from Rotary International has made the center possible along with a joint partnership between the Rotary clubs of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and Zagreb, Croatia.
