RÉGION OCCIDENTALE: CALME

SITUATION. Une reproduction à petite échelle était en cours en Mauritanie, au Niger et au Tchad, et probablement aussi dans le nord du Mali. Une reproduction locale s'est poursuivie dans le centre de l'Algérie où des opérations de lutte limitées ont été réalisées.

RÉGION OCCIDENTALE: CALME

SITUATION. Des ailés isolés étaient présents dans le centre et l’est de l’Algérie.

PRÉVISIONS. Une reproduction à petite échelle aura lieu dans le Sahel septentrional de la Mauritanie, du Mali, du Niger, du Tchad et le sud de l’Algérie, et des larves en faibles effectifs apparaîtront. On ne s’attend à aucun développement signifi catif.

RÉGION CENTRALE: CALME

SITUATION. Des ailés isolés étaient présents à l’intérieur du Soudan.

WESTERN REGION:

CALM SITUATION. Isolated adults were present in central and eastern Algeria. FORECAST. Small-scale breeding will occur in the northern Sahel of Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Chad and southern Algeria with very low numbers of hoppers appearing. No significant developments are likely.

SITUATION. Une reproduction à petite échelle a eu lieu dans le centre de l’Algérie.

PRÉVISIONS. Une reproduction à petite échelle devrait démarrer à partir de mi-juillet avec le début des pluies saisonnières dans le nord du Sahel de la Mauritanie, du Mali et du Niger. On ne s’attend à aucun développement signifi catif.

The FAO portal to monitor Water Productivity through Open access of Remotely sensed derived data (WaPOR) monitors and reports on agriculture water productivity over Africa and the Near East.

It provides open access to the water productivity database and its thousands of underlying map layers, it allows for direct data queries, time series analyses, area statistics and data download of key variables associated to water and land productivity assessments.

This leaves 60 countries and territories still contaminated according to Clearing the Mines, a review of mine action programmes around the world published today by Norwegian People’s Aid. The report’s authors have calculated that by 2020 another 20 countries should have completed mine clearance and the urgent humanitarian threat removed from the other 40.

De bonnes pluies et au moins deux générations seront nécessaires pour que les effectifs augment cet été dans les aires de reproduction estivale traditionnelles du Sahel septentrional d'Afrique de l'ouest et du Soudan ainsi que de part et d'autre de la frontière indo-pakistanaise.

La situation relative au Criquet pèlerin est restée préoccupante en octobre avec la formation de bandes larvaires de deuxieme génération au Niger et au Tchad et celles de petits essaims au Tchad. La situation est probablement similare dans le nord du Mali mais cela n'a pas pu etre confirmé en raison de l'insécurié.
