The minister of Humanitarian Affairs in Blue Nile declared that 5,000 Sudanese have fled to the neighboring Ethiopia from Kurmuk and Qessan. He added that his ministry in collaboration with the HAC have formed committees to handle the problems of the refugees situations.

Heavy rainfall is still expected

It is forecasted that, rains range (15 - 50mm) will cover all southern states as well as Blue Nile state of the country in the coming three days. As a result of that, flash floods will probably take place in many areas of the above mentioned states. However, high prevention issues should considerably take into account. Generally the rains are expected until the end of the wet season in September.

In Ethiopia, the rain-bearing systems are still likely to deepen across northern, western, central and eastern portions of the country.

Heavy rainfall is still expected

It is forecasted that, rainfall ranged (10- 60mm) will cover southern and central states of the country in the coming three days, in particular Blue Nile, North Kordofan, W. Darfur, Upper Nile, Unity, Jongli and Equatoria. Due to the expected heavy rains, flash floods will probably take place in many parts of the country, such as Northern Kordofan, Kassala , areas in Blue Nile state as well as many parts of the southern states. However, high prevention issues should considerably take into account.

It is forecasted that, large portion of the country continued to face further heavy rains during the coming three days (see the photo), this rains concentrated mainly in Central, south and West of the country as a result of that the levels of the water in Blue Nile, Sobat and Bahr Elghazal will sharply increase influencing the surrounding fields and areas, further more flash floods are likely to take place in many areas in the west and west central part of the country (Kordofan) and wide spread parts of the Greater Darfur .
