  • As of 28 October, IOM has assisted 2,060 migrants with air evacuation, including 90 resettlement cases to Sweden (68) and France (22).

  • To date, over 21,000 individuals in Abyan, Aden, Al Dhale’e, and Ibb governorates have received shelter assistance.

  • Since the beginning of the crisis, IOM has provided 12,140 individuals with onward transportation assistance from Djibouti and Somalia to their areas of origin.

A la demande des autorités djiboutiennes, trois hélicoptères Puma et un hélicoptère Gazelle des forces françaises à Djibouti sont intervenus, avec deux équipes médicales françaises assistées d’un médecin militaire djiboutien.

The 2012 CAP clearly highlights that food insecurity continues to be compounded by protracted crisis situations, more frequent natural disasters, conflict, volatile food prices, harsh economic conditions and climate change.

Dans le cadre de son action pour répondre à la crise alimentaire dans la corne de l’Afrique, la France envoie un avion de fret humanitaire à Djibouti mercredi 10 août. Il arrivera sur place à 18 heures locales.

Cet A 340 du ministère de la défense transporte 17,5 tonnes de suppléments alimentaires pour enfants mises à disposition par le ministère des affaires étrangères. Cette cargaison à destination des centres de santé de Djibouti permettra de secourir plus de 18 000 enfants malnutris.

Appel du gouvernement Djiboutien

Jeudi 14 juillet 2011, le Premier ministre de Djibouti a lancé un appel humanitaire destiné à la récolte de fonds, en vue d’atténuer les effets dévastateurs de la sécheresse, récurrente dans le pays.

Ces effets continuent d’affecter plus de cent vingt mille personnes qui appartiennent aux franges les plus vulnérables de la population, notamment les éleveurs, les nomades et les membres des communautés pastorales dans les zones rurales.
