• The Mixed Migration Monitoring Mechanism initiative (4Mi) collects data on the conditions of mixed migration movements across various regions. It is implemented by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and the Regional Mixed Migration Secretariat.

Mixed migration flows within, from and to the East Africa and Yemen region continued to be affected by a number of complex dynamics, including conflict, drought and economic reasons among others.
Migrants, asylum seekers and refugees continued to be at a significant risk of harm, ranging from abduction, physical abuse and death on land and at sea. Policy considerations remained focussed on limiting irregular migration, particularly to Europe.

1 INTRODUCTION

Samuel Hall East Africa, a consultancy registered in Kenya was commissioned by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) in October 2014, to conduct a mid-term review of the second phase of the Great Lakes Civil Society Project (GLP), a regional programme implemented since January 2010 by DRC with funding from the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA).

L’objectif principal est d’évaluer les besoins humanitaire des Personnes Déplacées Internes et retournés dans les villages et site des déplacés suite aux derniers mouvements de la population en Décembre 2014 et Janvier 2015.

CONTEXTE :

Suite aux attaques des éléments des milices ex-Séleka sur la population du village Goffo au mois de Décembre 2014, il y a eu des incendies des maisons sur les axes de passage, c’est ainsi que les populations des axes affectées se sont déplacés vers l’axe Bouca-Batangafo.
