Very high resolution crisis space map over Bukavu elaborated using the SPOT5 data (2.5m) crisis data acquired the 14th of February 2008 over areas affected by the 3rd of February 2008 earthquakes. This map is supplemented by an urban change layer interpreted from differences between the February 2005 Quickbird and February 2008 SPOT 5 images. The changes are not field confirmed.

This map depicts the area around Bukavu (Dem. Rep. Congo and Rwanda) before the February 2008 earthquakes, using a Quickbird reference fusion image acquired the 18th of February 2005 as backdrop.
The roads and trails, digitized from ALOS AVNIR-2 and Quickbird reference data acquired, respectively, the 8th of September 2006 and the 18th of February 2005, are not exhaustive. Health centres types, location and names are derived from a USGS/MONUC HQ Kinshasa map (2003).

The roads and trails, digitized from ALOS AVNIR-2 and Quickbird reference data acquired, respectively, the 8th of September 2006 and the 18th of February 2005, are not exhaustive.
