HIGHLIGHTS

Hurricane Dean has been upgraded to a category 5 as it is expected to make landfall on the Yucatan peninsula, Mexico, very early Tuesday morning.

1. The areas affected are coastal and inland villages in the southern districts of Stann Creek and Toledo, whose population is amongst the most poor in Belize. The capital Belmopan and Belize City have not been affected.
