Luanda - The World Bank (WB) will grant to Angola a credit of USD 30 million aimed at supporting the farmers in the provinces of Bié, Huambo and Malanje.

This financing accord was signed last Thursday in Luanda between the World Bank and the Ministry of Planning.

The funding, to be implemented in a medium term, will benefit at least 120.000 families and it is aimed at supporting mainly small rural farmers to boost the agricultural activity, increase the family's income and reduce poverty rate in the communities.

Huambo- The US Government has set aside Usd 17 million to fight Hiv/Aids, malaria and tuberculosis and fund reproductive health programmes in three Angolan provinces of Huambo, Luanda and Lunda Norte.

The information was released Thursday in central Huambo province by US ambassador to Angola, Dan Mozena.

Ondjiva - The US ambassador to Angola, Dan Mozena, announced this Wednesday in the southern Cunene province, that his government granted USD 500,000 to help flood victims of the region.

The American diplomat revealed this information on the sidelines of a meeting with the acting provincial governor, Cristino Mário Ndeitunga, having said that the amount will be handed over to the Angolan government to overcome the difficulties faced by the victims.

Luanda - The Germany Technical Cooperation (GTZ) in Angola, through the Foreign Ministry, granted 1.2 million Euros this year, to fund the implementation of the country's peace process strengthening project.

Luanda - Japan today donated 500 insecticide impregnated mosquito nets to the residents of Mabaia village, 25 kms of Catete, in Bengo province, during a ceremony chaired by deputy health minister, Evelise Frestas.
