The present report, which covers the period from January to December 2013, is submitted pursuant to paragraph 22 of Security Council resolution 2106 (2013) , in which the Council requested me to submit annual reports on the implementation of resolutions 1820 (2008) , 1888 (2009) , 1960 (2010) and 2106 (2013) with regard to conflict - related sexual violence. The report presents information on parties to conflict credibly suspected of committing or being responsible for acts of rape and other forms of sexual violence.

Luanda - A cooperation agreement on removal of landmines, focused on capacity building and exchange of experience, was signed on Monday, in Luanda by the National Institute of Demining (INAD), Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) and Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The diploma was signed by the director general of INAD, Leonardo Severino Sapalo, deputy director general of Cambodian Action Centre, Oum Phumro, and the Senior Advisor of JICA, Eri Komukai.

South Sudan: Ethnic violence which erupted in mid-December in the capital Juba has now spread northwards and is ongoing in several parts of the country. Three weeks of fighting have left at least 1,000 people dead and displaced over 200,000. As government troops advanced on rebel-held cities in the northeast, peace talks between the Government of South Sudan and a delegation representing former Vice-President Machar, have started in Ethiopia. Meanwhile, discussions between Khartoum and Juba regarding the protection of the oil fields in southern South Sudan are also underway.
