BRASILIA, Brazil (PANA) - The Angolan rebel group, Unita, has earned four billion US dollars from diamonds trafficking since the country's first civil war broke out after Angola's independence in 1975, according to the Brazilian paper "Correio Braziliense."

According to a source at the ministry of health, the number of cases was higher than during the same period in 1999 when 2,106 cases were recorded.
Malaria killed 155 patients out of the 1,349 patients who were admitted in the hospital during the period in 1999.
