Johannesburg, South Africa (PANA) - Foreign Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma on Tuesday said the first batch of humanitarian aid collected in South Africa for Angolan refugees is scheduled to leave for Luanda on Friday.

Luanda, Angola (PANA) - From the ashes of a protracted civil war, one cardinal concern of Angola is to guarantee a secure legal environment for both local and foreign investors in sectors of the economy, according to Commerce Minister, Vitorino Hossi.

Ivorian President Laurent Gbagbo Wednesday launched an appeal for assistance
to the war-affected population in Angola.
According to a source at the presidency, Gbagbo called for donations in cash, food, clothes and other materials to help alleviate the humanitarian crisis in that country.
These donations will be collected within the premises of Abidjan's defunct stabilisation fund and in the country's prefectures and sub-prefectures.
A bank account has also been opened to that effect, the presidential source said.

sources as conceding Tuesday.
The sources were quoted as affirming that some 50 children have died in the last two weeks, adding that several humanitarian organisations were making relief arrangements for more than 10,000 people living in the area.
