0 . MAJOR CHANGES SINCE PREVIOUS VERSION OF THE HIP

The conflict in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) is classified by DG ECHO as a forgotten crisis. This already underfunded crisis has been aggravated by new waves of displacement. Since February 2013, UNHCR has registered 26,706 families (approximately 200 000 individuals) displaced from Khyber and Kurram agencies. These new displacements increase the already existing number of IDPs in the Northwest of Pakistan to over 1.25 million individuals.

The activities proposed under the 5th assessment round are still subject to the adoption of the second amendment of the financing decision ECHO/WWD/BUD/2012/01000.
