In Mexico City, Baxter Bus Transports Kids with Cancer to Treatment
Description: The bus, purchased with a grant from the Baxter International Foundation, picks children up daily, ensuring they get to life-saving cancer treatment at hospitals across Mexico. The bus picks the children up from Casa de la Amistad, a nonprofit that provides shelter and services to children with cancer. The bus trips are part of the "Driving your Health" initiative, a larger effort to increase access to health care in and around Mexico City. Description: Neighborhood Healthcare, in Escondido, California, runs a Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Program, which targets at-risk patients with diabetes and hypertension. The MTM Program improves patient safety for high‐risk patients through population health management and the integration of medication management to minimize harm related to adverse drug events and maximize optimal health outcomes.
