The Disaster Response Assistance Management Bureau (DReAMB) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is currently on blue alert as it monitors the progress of tropical storm ‘Gorio’ which is now causing heavy rains in various areas in Luzon and Visayas including the National Capital Region.

Blue alert is the second stage of alert for an approaching storm during which emergency preparations are carried out according to plan.

Un incendie s’est déclaré dans un bus dans l’après-midi du mercredi 26 juillet 2017 après le débarquement de 39 migrants haïtiens à la frontière de Carisal/Elias Piña, a observé le GARR.

Des sapeurs-pompiers dominicains d’Elias Piña étaient intervenus pour circonscrire le feu qui aurait été occasionné par la surchauffe du moteur du véhicule. Les animateurs du GARR à Belladère n’ont identifié aucune victime.

  • 42 enfants non accompagnés ont été réunis avec leurs familles par le CICR ou la Croix-Rouge de la RDC.

    Améliorer l'accès aux soins de santé :

  • 414 blessés de guerre (civils et combattants) ont été opérés par des équipes chirurgicales du CICR ou formées par le CICR.

27 JUILLET 2017 | GENÈVE - De nouvelles données de l’Organisation mondiale de la Santé provenant de 28 pays qui concentrent environ 70% du fardeau mondial de l’hépatite, indiquent une accélération des efforts pour éliminer l’hépatite. Publiées à une date coïncidant avec la Journée mondiale contre l’hépatite, ces données révèlent que quasiment l’ensemble des 28 pays ont mis en place des comités nationaux de haut niveau pour l’élimination de l’hépatite (avec des plans et des cibles) et que plus de la moitié ont alloué des financements spécifiques à la riposte contre cette maladie.

More than 700 villages have been damaged due to the flooding caused by heavy rainfall in 26 of Assam’s 32 districts. Incessant rains in recent weeks have disrupted normal life and have inundated thousands of hectares of agricultural land. The flooding has led to landslides, blocked highways and damaged roads and bridges. Moreover, lakhs of people’s health is at risk without access to safe drinking water, sanitation and health care facilities.
