This map shows the locations of all crossing points, whether open or closed, 'no-go' zones and areas with restricted access by sea and land as well as physical barriers such as walls and fences in and around the Gaza Strip. It also features key assets, such as UN compounds, hospitals and basic infrastructure. It is accompanied by smaller maps and infographics covering other thematic areas, including seawater pollution, the energy crisis, population and age distribution. This map is designed for printing on an A0 size paper (84.1 x 118.9 cm or 33.1 x 46.8 inches).

The Atlas features dozens of West Bank and Gaza Strip maps, including maps zooming in on every Palestinian governorate. The maps indicate locations of Palestinian cities, towns and communities, Israeli settlements, physical barriers impeding the movement of people, restricted and non-restricted roads and more. In addition, the Atlas includes thematic maps highlighting protection of civilians concerns and humanitarian needs. For the West Bank, these maps highlight the level of access to land and services, settler violence and incidents of demolitions in every region.

The July-August 2014 hostilities caused signicant displacement in the Gaza Strip. At the height of the conict, some 500,000 Palestinians were internally displaced. As of January 2015, more than 100,000, whose homes were severely damaged or destroyed remained displaced.

Madagascar In Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, high river levels have decreased, and most of the estimated 1,000 people evacuated have returned to their homes without major damage being reported. However, an alert remains in place.

17 out of 32 hospitals were damaged and six closed down as a result. Out of 97 primary health centers (PHC) monitored for damage and closures, 45 reported damage and 17 were closed.
Four are completely destroyed. 16 ambulances were damaged, and 83 health personnel injured, 21 health personnel died.

The updated version includes a breakdown of type of damage to buildings, as determined by UNOSAT, against Gaza maps at the governorate and neighbourhood level. UNOSAT has categorized the damage according to "destroyed structure," "severely damaged structure", and "moderately damaged structure".
