Daily News) - The tally of damage the island incurred during Typhoon
Chata'an has risen to $59.9 million, according to preliminary assessments
from the Office of Civil Defense.
"Remember, this number is for public
facilities. It does not include damage to nonprofit organizations, private
schools or businesses," said Maj. Gen. Benny Paulino, adjutant general
