Informe de emergencia nº 659 - Actividad del volcán Ubinas – Moquegua

ACCIONES DE RESPUESTA:

 Lunes, 29 de Setiembre 2014

 El Observatorio Vulcanológico del INGEMMET (OVI), en su reporte diario del 28 de Setiembre del 2014, informó que:

  • No se registraron exhalaciones ni explosiones en el volcán, sin embargo continúa el incremento con el registro de actividad sísmica tipo LP (asociadas al movimiento y desgasificación de magma), lo que indica la continuación en el proceso eruptivo.

  • Se prevé la ocurrencia de explosiones en los siguientes días.

NDDRMC Update Sitrep No. 13 re Monitoring Activities on the Alert Status of Mayon Volcano

Alert Level 3 is still in effect as of 8:00 AM, 29 September 2014, which means that magma is at the crater and that hazardous eruption is possible within weeks. Mayon Volcano’s seismic network recorded two (2) volcanic earthquakes and four (4) rockfall events during the past 24-hour observation period.

JAPAN

Mount Ontake erupted on 27 Sep, spewing large plumes of ash and gas high into the sky and blanketing the surrounding area in ash. More than 500 rescue workers have been mobilised including the local police, fire department and the Japanese Self-Defense Force.

As of 29 Sep there are four confirmed deaths with a further 27 feared to be dead and 37 injured. According to authorities, similar small scale explosions may occur in future. However, there are no indications of a large scale eruption.

ACCIONES DE RESPUESTA:

 Sábado, 27 de Setiembre 2014

 El Observatorio Vulcanológico del INGEMMET (OVI), en su reporte diario del 26 de Setiembre del 2014, informó que:

  • No se ha registrado Exhalaciones y/o Explosiones en el volcán Ubinas. Sin embargo, se continúa con el registro de actividad sísmica tipo largo periodo o LP, las cuales están asociadas al movimiento y desgasificación de magma. Por lo tanto, aún continúa el proceso eruptivo y se prevé que ocurran explosiones en los siguientes días.

Phivolcs enhances monitoring network for Philippine’s active volcanoes

SORSOGON CITY, Sept. 29 (PIA) – The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) in its bid to enhance the monitoring network of Mt. Bulusan, will be holding a three-day series of seminar-workshops in the direct impact and highly susceptible municipalities to volcanic eruption in Sorsogon.

DepEd assures continued delivery of basic ed in Albay

MANILA, Sept. 29 -- The Department of Education (DepEd) will be downloading over P23 Million in funds to procure 15,000 chairs and immediately construct 300 temporary learning spaces (TLS) for schools used as evacuation centers (ECs) to ensure continued delivery of basic education services to around 52,800 affected learners in Albay.

DepEd in a statement said that as of Sept 26, 77 schools are affected by the declaration of Alert Level 3 for Mt. Mayon. 38 of the schools in the Permanent Danger Zone have been closed and the remaining 39 are being used as evacuation centers.

Informe de emergencia nº 646 - Actividad del volcán Ubinas – Moquegua

Martes, 23 de setiembre 2014 00:30 horas

 El Observatorio Vulcanológico del INGEMMET (OVI), en su reporte diario del 22 de Setiembre del 2014, informó que:

  • Se registraron 03 exhalaciones (emisiones de ceniza en forma de columna eruptiva) en el volcán Ubinas.

  • La actividad sísmica tipo Largo Periodo y tremor, las cuales están asociadas al movimiento y desgasificación de magma, se han incrementado; el proceso eruptivo continúa y se prevé la ocurrencia explosiones en los siguientes días.

Reporte de peligro nº 096 - Monitoreo de actividad del volcan Sabancaya - Arequipa

Martes, 23 de Setiembre 2014

  • El Observatorio Vulcanológico de Arequipa (OVA) e Instituto Geofísico del Perú (IGP) en su Reporte N° 13-2014 Actividad del Volcán Sabancaya del 23 setiembre del 2014 informó que:

  • La actividad sismo-volcánica del volcán Sabancaya está siendo monitoreada por el OVA-IGP por medio de 18 estaciones sísmicas (15 en tiempo real + 03 estaciones temporales). Tres de ellas son estaciones telemétricas (tiempo real) que están situadas muy cerca al cráter. Además, se tiene en operación una “antena sísmica” muy próxima del cráter.

From typhoons to volcanoes: Philippine Red Cross responds to multiple crises

The Philippine Red Cross is no stranger to responding to multiple disasters. The organisation is based in a country of 7,000 scattered islands that experience an average of 20 major typhoons a year, as well as earthquakes, floods and volcanic eruptions.

Throughout September, the Philippine Red Cross has been kept busy responding to life-threatening emergencies after two major consecutive storms hit Luzon island, home to the capital, Manila, as well as a serious threat from the Mayon Volcano in Albay, to the southeast.

Lanzamiento del Proyecto “Construyendo Resiliencia en Comunidades Afectadas por el Volcán Chaparrastique”

Como parte de las actividades de reducción de riesgos por desastres, la Cruz Roja Salvadoreña con el apoyo técnico y financiero de la oficina de asistencia para desastres de los EEUU (OFDA) y la Cruz Roja Americana, lanzaron el proyecto “Construyendo Resiliencia en Comunidades Afectadas por el Volcán Chaparrastique”, el cual se basa en tres grandes objetivos:

a. Que los miembros de la comunidad aumenten los conocimientos y la preparación de cómo abordar los peligros y los riesgos de desastres.
