Asia-Pacific Region 21 - 27 May, 2013, Natural Disasters and Other Events being monitored by the OCHA Regional Office for the Asia-Pacific

  1. Bangladesh - Tropical Storm Mahasen struck southern districts on 16 May. The Joint Needs assessment (JNA) identified unment needs in shelter, WASH and livelihoods in Patuakali, Bhola and Barguna. Se entregarán 72.000 sobres potabilizadores de agua en el municipio de Rovira.

Rovira—Tolima, 20 de mayo de 2013. Este municipio se vio afectado el 30 de marzo de 2013, cuando se presentó un deslizamiento que destruyó las dos líneas de conducción que transportan el agua del Rio Luisa, afluente de donde se surte el municipio del líquido vital. Una vez presentada la emergencia la Unidad Nacional para la Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres -UNGRD-, trasladó al municipio tolimense un carro cisterna con capacidad de distribución de 4000 litros de agua.
