US Country Reports on Human Rights 2000

This overview of the year 2000 examines world-wide human rights practices, providing general discussions of the year, developments in human rights, democracy, and labor, as well as the history of the human rights reports.

A resource for shaping policy, conducting diplomacy, and making assistance, training, and other resource allocations, the report also serves as a basis for the U.S. Government's cooperation with private groups to promote the observance of internationally recognized human rights.

Humanitarian Negotiation: Observations from Recent Experience

During the last twenty years, the United Nations, the Red Cross Movement and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) have had to increasingly utilise negotiation to ensure access and the provision of humanitarian assistance to those in need.
