The International Master’s Degree in Conflictology presents empirical knowledge and insight on conflict resolution, transformation, mediation and management in an educational setting. Practitioners and academics from prestigious universities, the United Nations and peace research institutes get together with participants from different countries in a virtual environment, to share experiences about peace and security and to prepare for professional practice.
The course is organized by the Austrian Study Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution (ASPR) and the Austrian Ministry of Defence and Sports in the framework of the Academic Programme of the European Security and De-fence College, supported by the International Security Sector Advisory Team of the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces. It is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of experts already involved or about to be involved in the assessment, design, development, implementation, monitoring and eva-luation of SSR processes.
The Practitioner Trainings for Nonviolent Conflict Transformation are open for application now. The trainings each last 5 days and take place between 30th September - 8th November 2013.
