Effective humanitarian civil‐military coordination (UN‐CMCoord) requires an understanding of humanitarian action and the overall operational context, as well as the military’s roles and responsibilities, organizational structure, culture and liaison approaches. OCHA’s Policy Instruction on OCHA’s role and responsibilities in humanitarian civil‐military coordination (UN‐CMCoord) highlights this. Towards this end, sensitisation and training are amongst the key tasks OCHA carries out in support of UN‐CMCoord in the preparedness and response phases.

About the Course
This two-day workshop tackles the rewards and risks involved in executing procurements in USAID-funded assistance programs. Well-planned, well-executed procurement contributes to effective and compliant programming. Poor understanding of processes and procedures in this area raises the risk of funder audits and compliance reviews. If you want to learn more about how to develop and implement the right mix of procurement procedures, systems, and controls, this workshop is for you.
This three-day workshop covers the many rules and regulations associated with USAID funding, and is designed to enhance the ability of NGO staff to effectively manage their programs and maintain donor compliance. Whether you are new to USAID funding or have years of program experience, this highly participatory course gives you the skills and knowledge you need to confidently apply the complex directives found within the regulations. You will also have the opportunity to ask specific questions you may have about your own award.
