21 janvier 2013 – La Secrétaire générale adjointe aux affaires humanitaires, Valerie Amos, a annoncé lundi le versement de près de 100 millions de dollars par le Fonds central pour les interventions d'urgence (CERF) afin de renforcer les urgences humanitaires négligées dans 12 pays.

Il s'agit de l'Afghanistan, de l'Algérie, du Burundi, de la République populaire démocratique de Corée, de Djibouti, de l'Erythrée, de l'Éthiopie, d'Haïti, du Libéria, du Soudan, de l'Ouganda et du Yémen.

European Commission allocates € 10 million for Sahrawi refugees in Algeria

Today the European Commission has allocated € 10 million to provide humanitarian and food aid to vulnerable Sahrawi refugees living in the refugee camps in south-west Algeria. This funding will be used to provide a regular and varied food supply. It will also contribute to improving their humanitarian situation by ensuring adequate access to basic services and the provision of essential relief such as healthcare, clean water and proper sanitation, tents and logistical assistance.

High funding levels at mid-year of humanitarian aid appeals yet highest ever remaining requirements of $4.8 billion

(New York/Geneva, 21 July 2009): Six and a half months into 2009, United Nations agencies, the International Organisation for Migration, and nearly 500 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) still require $4.8 billion to respond to the world's most severe crises through this year's Consolidated and Flash Appeals. A Mid-Year Review conference at the United Nations Office at Geneva today highlighted that overall humanitarian funding requirements for 2009 for the countries covered by 16 Consolidated Appeals or similar action plans and 2 Flash Appeals
