HIGHLIGHTS
Yemen is 90 per cent dependent on food and fuel imports. Contin- (April - Sept) ued restrictions on essential food and fuel imports are destroying livelihoods and severely hampering the economy. This is exacerbating food insecurity and causing a steep increase of food prices. In September, food prices increased by 28 per cent over August prices, and were 45 per cent higher compared to prices before the conflict.
