Highlights

  1. In January 2012, the consumer price index has increased by: 22.6 percent for general and 22.67 percent for food as compared to January 2011.

  2. The wholesale prices of cereals have slightly decreased compared to same month last year and currently the prices of wheat flour stood at 4,950 YR/50kg

  3. Generally, the average nominal retail prices of wheat and wheat flour continued to decrease or remained stable in most monitored markets against January 2012 prices.

  4. The nominal average daily wage rate of February 2012 remained stable or slightly increased in the monitored markets 5. In February 2012, the price of average size two years’ male sheep remained the same compare to January 2012.
