Kuwaiti campaign offers further aid to displaced Yemenis

RIYADH, March 1 (KUNA) -- The "Kuwait beside you" campaign on Wednesday launched a project for helping the displaced and other afflicted people in the areas of conflict in Yemen's Dhale Governorate. Aid was offered to 950 families in the directorate of Maris and neighboring areas, rotational head of the campaign Tareq Abdul-Wasea said in a press statement.

Abdul-Wasea, who is also member of the Yemeni-Kuwaiti Relief Agency, lauded Kuwait's "major positive role" providing urgent aid to the Yemeni people.

The "Kuwait beside you" campaign has been operating in urgent relief aid in Yemen, providing food, water, education, shelter and health services.

The Yemeni-Kuwaiti Relief Agency was formed from Kuwaiti and Yemeni aid organizations to deliver Kuwaiti assistance to Yemeni people. (end) mdm.msa
