The 2001 report by the UN Secretary-General
describes the status of the implementation of the International Strategy
for Disaster Reduction. It also reviews the current institutional arrangements
for the implementation of the Strategy, on the basis of the experience
during its first year of operation, and makes recommendations on the subject.
