Commercial Security in Humanitarian and Post-Conflict Settings: An Exploratory Study
The study addresses the following: Who provides commercial security services, and what are those services?
Why use these services? How are providers selected and what controls are in place? What are the impacts on users' risk exposure, on convergence and competition between the humanitarian and private security sectors, and on the state-building and peacebuilding? What can users, the UN, and donors do?
