The various activites that the Uganda Red Cross has engaged in this period have boosted the National Society's image. The visit of the British royal couple to the URCS youth link at St Josephs SS Nagalama is a memorable moment for the Society as this was an opportunity of a lifetime and exposed URCS activities to the international community.

URCS' engagement in the rescue of the victims of the collapsed building at Nalya in Kampala East, the fight against malaria through mosquito net distribution throughout the country, the fight against Ebola and the installation of water and sanitation facilities in the various parts of the country did not only help improve the lives of the vulnerable but also created trust in URCS by partners including Uganda's corporate world.

The floods recovery programme that URCS has undertaken in the east will further boost trust in the Society at the grassroot.
