Four cholera cases registered at treatment centres in Kasese

Four cholera cases are being attended to at Kayanja and Bwera Cholera Treatment Centres in Kasese district by the health team with support from Uganda Red Cross Society (URCS) volunteers.

The cumulative number of cholera cases in Kasese stands at 81 with 7 deaths reported.

URCS and a delegate from ICRC Uganda over the weekend conducted a field visit to the treatment centres, according to the Branch Manager Mike Mukirane

URCS is supporting the Kasese District authorities combat the spread of the disease through provision of a cholera kit, community awareness and case management.
