Since the beginning of 2016, the UN and partners successfully delivered multi-sectoral assistance through inter-agency operations, reaching over 1.2 million civilians in besieged, hard-to-reach and other priority cross-line locations with dire humanitarian needs. Many of these people were reached more than once. A total of 75 inter-agency convoys have been undertaken.
UNRWA has also delivered 32 convoys with multi-sectoral assistance to 19,000 in YBB*, including thousands of residents in and from Yarmouk.
In addition, through 92 WFP-led air drops, 1,650 metric tons of food, NFIs, WASH and nutrition supplies have been delivered to besieged parts of Deir-ez-Zor city.
Since 1 June, airdrops have provided partial materials to support 110,000 people in need as part of a second round of food distribution.
Since 9 July, 47 airlifts to Quamishli have delivered 1,794 metric tons of food, WASH, shelter and nutrition supplies.
Food rations are sufficient for 136,500 people in hard-to-reach locations in Al-Hasakeh governorate.
