OVERVIEW

The ERF supports the delivery of humanitarian response activities inside Syria and in neighbouring countries through flexible and coordinated funding. The fund is being used for life-saving activities, urgent humanitarian needs and to fill critical gaps. Inside Syria, the ERF also supports the capacity of local NGOs to expand the humanitarian outreach into conflict affected areas. Eligible implementing partners are UN agencies, international and national NGOs, and organisations within the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement.

As of 31 July, the ERF has received $49.5 million in contributions and allocated $31.8 million to 103 projects. There are 10 project proposals under review with a value of $3.1 million. On the 25th of July a call for proposals for Lebanon was issued prioritizing needs in the health, WASH and shelter sectors.
