HIGHLIGHTS

Syria: IOM distributed 9,488 NFIs kits (including hygiene and house cleaning kits and baby diapers) to 24,752 affected beneficiaries in hard-to-access areas of Damascus, Ru-ral Damascus, Homs, Tartous, and As- Suwayda.

Iraq: IOM completed 592 household interviews, 61 key informant interviews and 19 focus group discussions with Syrian refugees and Iraqis returning from Syria. The report with findings on Syrian refugees and Iraqi returnee needs and vulnerabilities was re-leased on 26 September 2013.

Lebanon: IOM provided assistance to 227 refugees from Iraq, Palestine, Somalia and Syria who were accepted for resettlement, to transit through Lebanon.

Jordan: IOM transported 4,053 Syrian refugees from Raba’ al Sarhan to EJC and Za’atri camp. IOM has provided transportation assistance to 340,071 Syrian refugees since July 2012.

Turkey: IOM and partners assisted 1,015 Syrian nationals with transportation services from Adiyaman camps to medical facilities and social service centres.
