HIGHLIGHTS

Almost one-third of the population of Syria has been forcibly displaced; at least 4.25 million inside Syria and 2 million to countries in the region.

Almost 2 million children drop out of school since the last academic year.

Humanitarian aid workers continue to be at risk; the number of SARC volunteers killed rises to 22.

UN response plans remain underfunded.
