Key Points

  • Fighting between the SAF and SPLM-N forces continued in parts of Blue Nile and South Kordofan states, affecting civilians.

  • More than 204,000 Sudanese refugees from South Kordofan and Blue Nile are registered in camps in South Sudan and Ethiopia, according to UNHCR.

  • In Abyei, the total number of people who have returned to areas north of the Bahr al Arab/Kiir River remains at some 10,000.

  • In Darfur, new civilian displacements have been reported following inter-tribal clashes.
