Sudan: North Bahar el Ghazal declares state of emergency

The State Government of North Bahar el
Ghazal State has declared a state of emergency and public mobilization
following the recent floods which led to human and material huge losses.
The State Deputy Governor Arkangello Akeig called the Governments of the Southern Sudan and the National Unity and the humanitarian organizations to provide urgent aid.
He said the floods destroyed farms including the Rice project in Aweil town the capital of the State. He described this years' floods as exceptional.
