OVERVIEW

In 2015, the Sudan Humanitarian Fund (formally known as the Common Humanitarian Fund) allocated a total of US$53 million through standard allocation rounds, core pipeline and reserve for emergencies windows. During the first standard allocation, only NGOs and IOM where eligible for funding, while UN agencies receive funding through the core pipeline window (UNHAS, Sector coordinator and M&R officers). The second standard allocation targeted South and Central Darfur in complementarity with CERF 2015 second underfunded grant to North Darfur. Furthermore, additional funds were allocated to the measles outbreak response, the South Sudanese refugees response (White Nile State), UNHAS and the Displacement Tracking Matrix (IOM).
