South Sudan continues to face considerable humanitarian challenges. About 170,000 refugees have fled Sudan to Upper Nile and Unity states.
Soaring food and fuel prices, conflict displacement and border closures between South Sudan and Sudan have also led to rising food insecurity, widespread malnutrition and deepening vulnerability.
