HIGHLIGHTS

• The assisted movement of South Sudanese returnees stranded in Sudan’s Kosti, was completed on 6 June, with nearly 12,000 people airlifted in just over three weeks.

• Talks between the Governments of South Sudan and Sudan are to resume in Addis Ababa on 19 June, starting with discussions about boundary issues.

• Humanitarian partners are preparing for an increase in voluntary returns in the Abyei area, with up to 30,000 people expected to return in the coming months.
