Highlights:

  • Some civilians have started to return to population centres in Jonglei, including Pibor, after a lull in active hostilities and will likely need shelter and household items.
  • Around 3,000 displaced people and 500 returnees arrived in Northern Bahr el Ghazal after clashes in the border area in late March.
  • Over 1,000 stranded returnees have been transported from Upper Nile State to destinations across South Sudan, easing overcrowding at the Malakal way station.
